Geregye (also Geregen) was the name of a gens (Latin for "clan"; nemzetség in Hungarian) in the Kingdom of Hungary in the 13th century. The Egervári family originated from this clan. The ancient lands of the kindred were in Vas County (today Gyanógeregye and Egervár). Później sędzia królewski oddział Paula Geregyego nabył dobra w powiatach Szolnok i Kraszna, gdzie próbował ustanowić władzę niezależnie od króla, wraz z innymi wybitnymi klanami (np. Aba, Gutkeled, Kőszegi). Jednak Władysław IV na Węgrzech pokonał i wyeliminował ich aspiracje w latach 1277–1278, a gałąź ta straciła wszystkie wpływy polityczne.
